Strategy renewal of a non-profit active on sustainable cities (SDG 11) after leadership change
Client Challenge
A non-profit had a change in leadership and wished to overhaul its strategy and work related to sustainable cities in order to be more impact oriented.
VfG Contribution
- Mapped topics of interest for the future direction of the organisation related to sustainable cities
- Conducted a series of strategy workshops with leadership to specify organisation’s role, its type of impact, the focus topics, its target audience and activity types
- Developed a framework and a consistent narrative to describe the theory of change of the organisation related to sustainable cities
- Defined the impact value chain and sample indicators to measure the impact per activity type
- Prepared key strategy documents to help the CEO communicate the new strategy to the organisation’s board of directors
