Client Challenge

A multinational holding company of consumer goods involving plastics and coffee needed a strategy and governance structure to address material sustainability issues.

VfG Contribution
  • Analysed future trends to identify key business risks in the plastics and coffee industries including waste management and safeguarding human rights 
  • Developed a strategy with key company stakeholders to address them – linking each activity to GRI (Global Reporting Initiative) indicators. 
  • Created a core sustainability group and governance structure that would spearhead initiatives and monitor progress on sustainability goals going forward.
