Study for a PE fund: „Artificial Intelligence: Combating Online Sexual Abuse of Children“
Client Challenge
A PE Fund investing in tech companies wanted to identify a social topic it could help make a difference on leveraging artificial intelligence technology of current and potential future investees.
VfG Contribution
- Identified the topic of online sexual abuse of children as an area for the client to become active on
- Helped defined the social impact strategy of the PE fund
- Carried out a first study in collaboration with the fund‘s founder to identify how artificial intelligence could be leveraged to combat online child sexual abuse
- Supported the client in developing its communications and outreach strategy around the topic, identifying key donors in the space, conferences to attend among others
- Prepared a first project to develop new AI solutions in the space
Impact on Client & Society
- A first ever mapping of AI solutions to combat online child sexual abuse was conducted as a result of our engagement
- The client was able to launch its study at the Concordia Summit alongside the UNGA and position itself as a credible actor on the topic of combating online sexual abuse of children
