Client Challenge
A successful German social start-up was looking for relevant frameworks covering the social sustainability of its supply chain which could be applied to its’ diverse product portfolio.
VfG Contribution
- Researched and analysed different social supply chain related frameworks, labels, initiatives & key market players’ approaches
- Analysed social supply chain risk exposure for key ingredients and supported in prioritization of focus risks
- Moderated 2 workshops generating an understanding with the client for key social risks in own supply chain, different frameworks, desired commitment level, and different implementation levers
- Proposed a draft for an internal social supply chain manifesto

- Prioritization of social supply chain risks to define focus risks and define mitigation strategies
- Basis for internal discussion to refine the client’s social supply chain approach
